Santa visited on Sunday, 15 December

Well it definitely felt a lot like Christmas last weekend at Nippers. We had a great turn out for the 3 pm start and a great amount of helping hands at 2 pm to set up for twilight Nippers.

This weekend also saw our SRC kids do their first patrol together before going to their chosen patrol group. Some children have chosen to patrol with parents and keep families together, whilst others have gone for friendship groups. Either way works, it’s wonderful that they have chosen to give back to the community. It was also great to see how excited they were to receive their water safety tops on Sunday. The scattering of orange in the water was fantastic to see and we hope that they bring this enthusiasm back to nippers in the New Year.

Our Christmas board party was held on Thursday, 19 December

The Academy provided pizza and the Nippers committee supplied drinks to our growing number of board kids.  Many are new to boards this season but are loving being part of the squad.  Special mention to Aaron Morris and Taylor Tullett for their drive, enthusiasm and intolerance to whining 🙂
