Newport Surf Life Saving Club has just introduced an annual scholarship programme for two young Bronze Medallion Trainers & Assessors to travel to East Timor with the Pittwater Friends of Soibada in mid-July. Soibada is a remote village in the mountains of East Timor.
Our inaugural winners are Jessica Menzies and Lauren Budd. Jess and Lauren will be teaching members of the Soibada community how to apply First Aid and perform CPR.
