A call out to anyone interested in joining our First Aid or Champion Lifesaver Competition teams

After last years huge success we are hoping to expand our Lifesaving Programme in our junior ranks (U14’s, U15’s & U17’s).  A Quick Rundown of each event:

First Aid
The First Aid Competition is where a team of two people walk into a scenario with patients who have fake injuries (that look pretty real). The team is then marked on how well they treat the patients and communicate with surf com.  

Champion Lifesaver

Champion Lifesaver is an all-rounder competition. It includes physical events, a multiple choice quiz, CPR, and DRS ABCD. The competitor is marked on how well they complete each section.

Both of these competitions are super fun and exciting and because they are run on different days, you are able to do both! This is a great way to get more involved with the Surf Club and help us stay Number 1 Surf Club in the State.

If you know anyone who would be interested in either of these events make sure you get them to come along to our information evening this Thursday the 13th of October. It will be held at Newport SLSC Bar Area starting at 7.00pm and going for approximately 45 min.
