2 Newport crews shined at the 2019 Interbranch Surfboat Championships, Best of the Best at Queenscliff last Sunday

On Sunday, 20 January, two Newport crews contributed to Sydney Northern Beaches winning the Interbranch Surfboat Championships, Best of the Best. Our U23 women ‘Thunder’ Tara Doyle, Abby Ballesty, Megz Barr and Claudia Harris (swept by Michael King) won their division and the Open Men ‘Hellfish’ Alex Brown, Lucas Dean Wilson, Hugh Pender and Jake Butcher (swept by Mitch Foran) finished second.
