Newport Places 3rd overall at Freshwater

In one of the biggest carnivals of the year Newport had its best results in the clubs history finishing just behind Manly and Terrigal at the Freshwater Carnival. The contribution of the Water team was outstanding winning every team event and most of the individual as well in the U17s.

NSW wins interstate series

With Newport members Max Brooks and Jake Lynch as part of the team. NSW won the Interstate series from rivals Qld. Jake finished 2nd in both the Flags and Sprint. max won the board race in very testing surf.

U17s Shine at Coolangatta Gold.

In their first hit out in this iconic SLSA event four of our U17s Water team completed the grueling Coolangatta Gold. Competing in the U19 division the boys were the youngest in their group and came home in front of a lot of their older rivals in under 4 hours over the 30 km course. Congratulations to (L to R) Cody Marr, Fletcher Davies, Max Brooks and Peter Euers on this outstanding effort. Considering this team has 2 more years in this age group they will a force to be reckon with in the next couple of seasons
