Cold conditions for the first
of the Northern Beaches Ocean swims!
It was difficult conditions for swimmers in the first of the ocean swims. Reports of cold, choppy water made for a very interesting event the length of which was reduced to 1.7km.
Not only did Scott Henderson of Turramurra get third in his age - 20-29 - he was the lucky winner of a trip to compete in the Vanuatu Ocean Swim in June 2009. thanks to Paul McCoy of Pacific Swims as well as Air Vanuatu and Le Legon who have generously donated this great prize.
