Jake Lynch: Athlete of the Year at the SLSNSW Awards of Excellence

Jake Lynch was taken aback when he was named Athlete of the Year at the SLSNSW Awards of Excellence. ”Yeah, it was a bit unexpected,” said the beach specialist. ”I don’t know if I really expected to get this far with the whole awards process and everything. Just to be at the awards was a cool honour. ”To win the award was a massive privilege, even better.”

Jake is now hoping to win selection in the Australian team for the International Surf Rescue Challenge in New Zealand, starting on November 30. If selected, it will be the fourth time he has represented Australia. Now that will be some feat.
